How to Select a Suitable Floor for your Dream Home?

In Feng Shui, many if not most have heard about a Chinese saying: 宅命相配It means a good affinity between the house and the occupants, with an objective to best support their life endeavors with the living home. To some, this will be ideal for those currently hunting for a dream home for own stay or considering renting a choice home for a short period of time.

I'm Renting. So does this matters to me?
Some will say that they are not the homeowners and just renting the property for a lease, so it is important to select a good unit during their stay? In Feng Shui, it really does not matter who is the homeowner of the property, but it does matter and will affect those who are staying in the property.
Buildings and their various elemental resembles

Choosing the Right Building?
When selecting your choice home, the first level of personalization is to ensure that you have picked the right building based on its elemental shape, different shape of building denotes different elements. The five elements are Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. As building can be regarded as a container of Qi or energy, hence it would “store” these elemental energies.

Example #1:
If the building is tall and like a tree truck, then it can be considered as a wood-element building and is suitable for those in the development, fashion, education business or career relating to this trade.

Example #2:
A building with a pointy roof, or with triangular or irregular aspects of their facade, then it can be considered as a fire-element building. It is good for those working or with business relating to energy, technology, food and beverage, real estate, construction, insurance, etc.

Building with its Floor Level Elemental Affinity

Choosing the Right Floor Level?
Having selected the building, the next step is to ascertain which floor is best suitable for you and your family based on the elemental production cycle.

For high-rise buildings, each floor can be represented by an element based on the He-Tu Principle. This elemental representation for different floors is only applicable to high-rise buildings, like condominiums, apartments, etc.

The elemental Supporting and Controlling Cycle

Using one of the earlier examples, as an illustration, the fire-element building would best support fire and earth floor levels, which are ending with 0, 2, 5, 7. This means that floor levels 2, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, etc.

On the other hand, as fire controls metal as well as water controls fire, you might want to avoid metal and water floor levels in a fire-element building, which are ending with 1, 4, 6 9. Hence, it best not to select floor levels 4, 6, 9, 11, 14, etc.

What’s next?
When you have identified the right building and a suitable floor level, then the next step is to ascertain a good home layout of the unit that could support the life goals and ambitions of yourself and the occupants, and of course, choose your dream home right at the first time.
