Do you know the Facing of your Home?

Do you know what is the facing of this Block C in Botanika, Tebrau Coast?
In Classical Feng Shui, your Home Facing plays an important role in determining the “Energy or Qi Map” of your House for some Feng Shui formula; like Xuan Kong Flying Stars (玄空飞星), 8 Mansions (八宅风水), Qi Men (奇门), etc. In some Feng Shui school of thoughts, their definition of home facing could be different. Some will use the Main Door as the Facing, some will base on the Building as the Facing, or the Balcony, the Garden park, the Waterway, and the list goes on. So what is the best guideline to define the facing of your home? It really depends, as there could be dependent on various factors, such as the external environment, the Feng Shui principle to access the home, etc.

But generally, to assess the properties with Flying Stars principle, it would be preferred to take the Building facing to determine the Qi map of a property. The reason is relatively simple. Just imagine that you are staying in a big house with hundreds of rooms. Here, the big house can be referred as the building, and each room can be represented as individual apartment unit.

In the following examples, we will be using the 3 Bedroom Unit (Type B) in Botanika at Tebrau Coast – a recently launched residential development in Iskandar, as an illustration. I must emphaize that these examples are merely used to illustrate the important of Home Facing, and the outlook of the home is not conclusive.

Example #1
Taking the entire Block C building as the reference, the unit circled in Red is assumed to be North facing. The example will base on just the 3 most important area of the unit, although there are other strengths and weaknesses to manage as well. The 3 important areas are the Main Door, Kitchen and Master Bedroom.

For this 3 Bedroom (Type B) unit, the Main Door and Kitchen are well-positioned in the good sectors. This house could generate long-term wealth opportunities and growth. However, the Master Bedroom is located in a less favourable sector, and if there are negative external landforms, it might lead to health problem and potential financial loss. So beware.

Example #2
Taking the unit as the reference, this Period 8 Northeast facing unit has the Master Bedroom and Kitchen located in the good sectors. However, the Main Door is in the less favourable location, which could indicate a loss of wealth and a general health concern.

What do the Examples tell you?
Although both examples have the same Home layout and Floor size, their Home facing has determined a different Qi Map of the House and different Outlook that the occupants might encounter.

The examples are simple illustration that demonstrates the important of determining your Home facing correctly as it might affect yours as well as your loved one endeavours in life.

Just wondering what will be the outlook of this 3 Bedroom unit (circled in Red, a mirrored image of that in the above Examples) if it is Northwest facing?
